Bert’s Barrow

Bert’s Barrow is a family run farm in Hillam, North Yorkshire. We are passionate about our guests making memories, having a happy time and we want you to feel at home here. Our rustic barns can hold up to 500 guests, perfect for weddings, corporate events or parties & we hold a wedding licence too. We also grow 70,000 of our own pumpkins & squashes for PYO pumpkins throughout October & grow our own Christmas trees too…...

Our award winning farm shop & PYO strawberries are now closed, Thank You to all our customers who shopped with us and please keep on shopping and supporting local.

We are set in 50 with lots of outside space, We can cater for small intimate celebrations right up to events with 500 guests. Charlotte will be happy to have a chat and show you round - just get in touch!

Have your wedding your way!

We are fully licenced with North Yorkshire County Council for Civil Ceremony’s throughout the venue, outside on our paddock or in any three of our rustic barns.

IN BERT’S BARN, You can have your own style, boho, festival, rustic, traditional. its your space!

Bert’s Pumpkin Patch!

We have planted 30,000 pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, unfortunately we can no longer have customers turning up as our field is now too wet, you need to book a car parking slot. Please see page at the top of the website. Only open Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th October, if we still have pumpkins left we will release more tickets for half term, will keep you posted. Parking tickets are free but without one you will not be allowed entry.


The other side to our family business is pumpkins & its a real family affair, plus alot of help from our awesome team! We plant in April and they are ready in October

Our fab team have been working their rocks off in all weather getting Bert’s PYO Pumpkin Patch ready for 2023.

We have some belters!!! All shapes, colours & sizes. Prices start from £1 up to £10 for absolute whoppers!!

We have multicoloured sweetcorn & beetroot too!!!

Carving/activity barn, scarecrow trail, mini fairground rides & lots of photo opportunities!

Also food, drink, crepes, & slushies too & the bar open Saturday & Sunday.

NO NEED TO BOOK just come down & pay for what you pick. Well behaved dogs allowed on a lead.
